The 27th Annual New England School of Best Practices in Addiction Services

August 19, 2019 - August 22, 2019

This four-day event gives addiction and behavioral health professionals the opportunity to combine in-depth study of an area of special interest with the opportunity to learn in a beautiful, rejuvenating wilderness setting in Waterville Valley, NH. The program includes advanced clinical and administrative skilled-based treatment in best practices and evidence-based practices treatment approaches, as well as a current and emerging best opioid treatment practices, clinical supervision,  management, and advanced prevention.

Designed with the seasoned behavioral health professional in mind, this focuses heavily on evidence-based and promising approaches specific to addressing addiction. The courses offered are intended to appeal to a wide array of professionals working in diverse settings. In addition to clinical, clinical supervision, and prevention topics, some course offerings this year will again address the macro area of addiction and behavioral practice such as program or agency oversight and developing effective management skills.

Courses are being offered in the following areas: clinical supervision foundations, clinical supervision recertification coursework, ethics, the management certification track, several tracks for established clinicians, the DOT/SAP certification course, motivational interviewing trainer training, training of trainers, and, for the first time this year, an advanced prevention track. The four-day program is a combination of daily plenary events and intensive workshops totaling up to 32 contact hours.
