Recovery LIVE! Virtual Event: Peer Supports for Young Adults Living with Serious Mental Illness or Substance Use Disorders
June 28, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)’s Bringing Recovery Supports to Scale Technical Assistance Center Strategy (BRSS TACS) invites you to a conversation with national leaders about peer supports for youth and young adults living with serious mental illness or substance use disorders. Research demonstrates that peer support is highly effective in supporting their recovery and resilience of people living with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. Many organizations are developing developmentally and culturally relevant models of peer support for young adults.
Presenters will discuss strategies for developing and sustaining peer supports for young adults in a variety of settings. Please join us for this free, interactive virtual event, hosted by Steven Samra, BRSS TACS Deputy Director.
