MSMs, Methamphetamines & HIV

This course is a supplement to the National Core Curriculum recent work on Stimulants and their Impact on Brain and Behavior: Best Practices and Approaches for Effective Treatment and Recovery. This training focuses on MSM (men who have sex with men) and the connection with HIV and methamphetamines. It presents epidemiology, reasons why methamphetamine use is prevalent in the MSM community and the effects of methamphetamines on HIV progression.

This training meets the requirements for two renewal hours (CASAC, CPP, CPS) and two initial hours (CPP, CPS) through New York State’s Office of Addiction Services and Supports (NYS OASAS).
