Applying Motivation-Phase Interventions to Treat Tobacco Use Among People with Opioid Use Disorder

This presentation will cover the importance of tobacco treatment for people with opioid use disorder and discuss research on providing treatment for smokers who are not motivated or not ready to quit. Lack of motivation or readiness to quit in the near future is a common barrier for tobacco use disorder and will be explored with a specific focus on those who live in rural communities.
